At the moment it is a free non-commercial online radio station aiming at developing into a quality streaming service.
If you are our listener, you probably are a fan of the music of the '70s, '80s, '90s, pop/rock mostly, just as we are. But in fact music can be more or less entertaining depending on your preferences. All media streaming services developed algorithms that select songs for the discover section, based on many different factors, like user crossovers with the listening history of other users, language processing, analyzing the raw tracks and then learning from experience. Unfortunately, we haven't ever found the discovery section useful, as it simply hasn't hit our needs.
Since we haven't been pleased, we've started wondering if there is any music discovery algorithm that could suit us better and PearForest radio station is a part of this research. Here you may vote for what you wany to listen to and this gives us an opportunity of finding out hits that everybody likes, if there are any, and then analyzing the content.
The idea is pretty simple. You may vote daily for or against one song. The songs with score under '0' will be deleted from our playlist after a month. Reach us out with new song proposals through Stay In Touch section.
